The focus of the Bloomington Kennedy Activities Foundation (BKAF) is to fund and support any and all activities/athletics at Kennedy High School. We are here to financially assist any student, coach, booster club, teacher, and family regardless of their financial status. Think of us as a hand up, not a handout.
Help us grow our membership and consider joining the JFK PTSA! This is a great opportunity to be connected with your student's school. The PTSA supports teachers, financially supports the Evening of Excellence and funds scholarships for graduating seniors. Our PTSA welcomes everyone, including grandparents, mentors, educators, neighbors and community leaders.

When you join JFK’s PTSA, you become a member of the nation’s largest and oldest child advocacy organization, boasting a membership of more than 5 million. Some of National PTA’s accomplishments:
- Mandating child immunizations
- Universal kindergarten
- Early endorsement of juvenile courts
- Spearheading federal free and reduced price lunch legislation
- Working for and enacting child labor laws
Each year National PTA and Minnesota PTA publish separate public policy priorities and recommendations for Congress. Elected officials including U.S. Presidents frequently ask PTAs for their input on critical issues that impact children and families.
Please commit to becoming part of the rich legacy of PTA and partner with JFK in our mission to improve the lives of our students and families. JFK students need you more now than ever!

Volunteer Connection programs offer opportunities for tutors to assist students with learning in an academic setting. We are always looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic and excited to help students achieve their academic potential.
Volunteers should be willing to commit 1-2 hours a week for a school semester or 6-month period.
